Terms of Use for passion4u: rules, safety, and membership

Who may use passion4u?

passion4u is intended exclusively for adults. The platform may only be used for your own private purposes and in compliance with applicable law and these Terms of Use.

Registration and user account

When registering, you must provide truthful and complete information and keep essential details up to date. Accounts may be maintained as a single profile or a couple profile; account access is permitted only for the person or persons stored in that account. You may not impersonate another person or use third-party identities; unauthorized multiple accounts are also prohibited. You must keep your login credentials confidential, report suspected unauthorized access without delay, and change your password. For couple profiles, both registered persons are responsible for content, communication, and settings of the shared account.

The following additional rules apply:

Account access is personal only: for a couple profile, only the two registered persons may use it; transfer, sharing, or sale to third parties is prohibited.
You may not impersonate another person or use identities or profile data that do not belong to you.
Login credentials must be kept confidential and protected against unauthorized access.
If you suspect misuse or unauthorized access, you must inform support immediately and update your login credentials.
For couple profiles, both involved persons are responsible for content, communication, and settings of the shared account.
Youth protection: During registration, minimum age is technically checked via the stated date of birth; in addition, an active confirmation of legal adult age is required before completion. In suspicious cases, we may request additional age proof.

Rules for profiles, photos, and messages

Profiles must be maintained honestly, transparently, and respectfully.
You may upload only photos, profile texts, and other content for which you hold the required rights and whose publication is permitted.
For the duration of publication, you grant passion4u a non-exclusive right, limited to platform operation, to technically store, process, and display your content according to your visibility settings; this does not grant any broader advertising or third-party exploitation license.
Messages and contact attempts must not be insulting, threatening, manipulative, or harassing.
Boundaries, consent, and decisions of other members must be respected at all times.

Prohibited content and behavior

In particular, the following are prohibited on passion4u:

Illegal content, incitement to crimes, circumvention of legal requirements, and any sexualized representation, contact, or initiation involving minors are prohibited; sexual content is permitted exclusively between consenting adults and within the scope of applicable law.
Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, coercion, stalking, or threats. Sexual interests and relationship models between adults may be permissible only on the basis of consent, respected boundaries, and applicable law.
Spam or automated mass contact.
Fraud, deception, romance scams, money requests under false pretenses, payment fraud, or obtaining services by deception.
Fake profiles, intentionally false or misleading statements about your identity or person, identity misuse, or impersonating another person or an official entity.
Publication or sharing of private data of other members without authorization (e.g., phone number, address, workplace, private images).
Publication, sharing, or threat of publication of verification photos, ID data, or identity documents of others.
Extortion, especially using private, intimate, or sexual images, videos, or confidential content.
Automated extraction, scraping, crawling, or other unauthorized automated access to the platform.
Circumvention of suspensions or restrictions, especially by creating new accounts or using third-party accounts.
Commercial contact offers or brokerage activities without express approval by passion4u.

Moderation and suspension

Members can report profiles, messages, and other content. This includes in particular profile photos, profile texts, gallery media, and submitted verification photos as part of person verification. passion4u may review reported or otherwise suspicious content and take appropriate measures in case of violations. In case of severe violations or acute security risks, immediate provisional restrictions of individual functions or account access are possible; depending on the review outcome, content may be removed and accounts may be temporarily or permanently restricted.

Premium and payments

Basic access to passion4u is permanently free. Premium is optional and concluded as a separate paid contract. Before purchase, term, price, included services, expiry, extension options, and payment terms are displayed transparently; the conditions shown at purchase are authoritative. Payment processing is carried out, depending on the selected payment method, via external payment providers in accordance with their privacy and contractual terms.

The Premium contract begins after successful payment and applies for the term selected at purchase. Bonus programs in the Crowns area, especially the referral program, are voluntary additional services; eligibility requirements, amounts, and limits are governed by the conditions shown in the portal at the time of granting.

The following additional rules apply to Premium terms:

Premium ends at the expiry of the booked term and does not renew automatically.
If you do not actively extend for another term, Premium ends regularly on the expiry date.
After the term expires or a cancellation becomes effective, access to Premium features ends; free basic access remains available.
Refunds are granted only to the extent required by law or explicitly promised at purchase.
In case of payment issues (e.g., chargeback, returned debit, or pending clarification), Premium features may be temporarily restricted or suspended.
In case of serious security or rule violations, account access may be provisionally restricted or suspended even during a paid term; mandatory law remains reserved.

Payment methods: PayPal, Stripe, Banküberweisung und Kryptozahlungen (je nach Anbieter und Land)

Crowns (virtual balance)

Crowns are a virtual, non-cash-out balance for optional functions on passion4u. Crowns can be purchased via available payment methods or credited through disclosed programs (e.g. bonus or voucher actions) and can be used for the functions offered at the time. Which functions are available and how many Crowns are required is governed by the conditions displayed in the portal at the time of use; these offers may be adjusted, expanded, or discontinued for the future.

Termination and deletion

In account settings, you can pause your profile as needed or delete your account. In case of severe or repeated violations, as well as significant security risks, accounts may be temporarily or permanently restricted or suspended.

In addition, the following applies to termination, deletion, and Premium:

When deletion becomes effective, your access is blocked, your profile is deactivated, and it is no longer displayed. Messages and other account content are processed or deleted in accordance with the privacy policy; deleted communication content is first marked as deleted and then removed in periodic technical cleanup runs (currently 60 days), unless legal retention obligations or legitimate security interests require otherwise.
When account deletion becomes effective, access to the member area ends and therefore use of Premium features ends as well.
Additional Premium terms arise only through active extension by you.
Paid periods are generally not refunded, unless mandatory law or explicitly promised purchase terms provide otherwise.
In case of early account deletion, payment obligations already agreed for the booked term do not lapse, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Liability rules

We are liable within the limits provided by law. passion4u does not owe any specific matchmaking result and does not guarantee that contacts, meetings, or relationships will occur. We do not guarantee that information provided by other members is always complete and accurate; members act on their own responsibility when making contact. Members are responsible for their own content, statements, and actions; we assume no responsibility for behavior outside the platform. Continuous and error-free technical availability cannot be guaranteed. Mandatory legal liability provisions remain unaffected.

In addition, the following applies in particular:

There is no guarantee of specific contacts or matches.
Matching and recommendation functions are intended to support the search for suitable contacts and may be influenced by profile information, interests, settings, and activity; no specific result is guaranteed.
There is no guarantee of dating success or formation of a relationship.
Meetings and personal contacts with other members take place at your own responsibility.
Members are themselves responsible for their own content and statements.
Mandatory legal liability claims remain unaffected.

Intellectual property

The design, software, trademarks, and content of the platform are legally protected. Any use, reproduction, or distribution beyond permitted use requires express permission.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is at the registered seat of Zeitverlag AG as operator of passion4u.ch.

Changes to these Terms of Use

We may amend these Terms of Use with effect for the future where there is an objective reason (e.g. changes to features, legal requirements, or security requirements). We will inform users of material changes in an appropriate form before they take effect; from the announced effective date, the announced version applies. Contracts already concluded and Premium terms already booked remain unaffected unless an adjustment is required by mandatory law or otherwise legally permissible. For new or extended Premium terms, the version displayed at the time of booking applies.
